Workers’ Compensation/Meals On And Off Company Premises

If an employee has a meal away from the employer’s premises, the Courts usually require that the injury occur as a result of some risk of the employment. If an employer has maintained any control of the route to be taken to and from lunch or in the selection of the place to eat, the claim is usually compensable.
